.
Hi, my name is Joe Mujo Habibovic, and this is a site about HAM-RADIO, this beautiful hobby of ours! My journey within a ham radio had began back in 1976 in my home-town Cajnice in eastern Bosnia,( before aggression and genocide over Bosnia's people, 1992-1995), as a member of a Radio Club Cajnice, former - YU4ECJ.
Through all of these years, I have operated under a few different call-signs, from YU4WAC,YU4ER,DL/YU4ER,KB9THA,N9ERW and finally AB9H which is my current call sign .
Today, I am active as AB9H from Chicago, member of "Chicago FM Club", and "Society of Midwest Contesters". My activity includes DX-ing, contesting, building antenna's for HF,VHF, UHF operating and ARDF transmitter hunting.
In the "shack" I have a Kenwood TS-2000X as a main radio, with HF,6M,2M,70CM and 23CM capability, then ICOM IC-706 MKII, as a second rig and no; 1 for mobile, YAESU FT VX-5 handheld, used for FM .
When a little more power is needed, I have AMERITRON AL-800 amplifier. For the main antenna, I have CUSHCRAFT A4S, YAGI, then CUSHCRAFT XM-240,2-ele. 40-mtr. Yagi, follows 6-ele YAGI for 6-M, 13B2 for 2M ,27-ele for 70CM,40ele loop-yagi for 23CM.
All these antennas are atop a US TOWER HDX-555 crank up tower.
For low bands I use Shunt feed tower on 160m, and wire antennas for 80m.
Besides this, there is some more info and features on this site, Thank You for visiting and I hope that you will enjoy it.
73 and hope to meet You on the bands,
.
